The PCTA was saddened to hear of the passing of founder member and Trustee, Melvyn Hill.

He was not only a Trustee since the inception of the PCTA in 1981, but also Treasurer right up until his resignation, due to ill health in October 2023. Furthermore, Melvyn was the PCTA’s representative with the Charity Commission during that time.

His contribution was outstanding, not only managing the finances with unerring accuracy and due diligence, but being heavily involved in raising £2.5 million to buy equipment for the local NHS Trust to assist in the treatment of cancer.

The PCTA will be forever grateful to Melvyn, may he rest in peace.
